  • Pairing Your PIN Pad With the Smart Lock

    Pairing your Smart Lock and PIN Pad ensures that your Smart Lock will be responsive when you use it to lock or unlock your Smart Lock. You can pair your Smart Lock and PIN Pad together using either the Keypad or the Smart Lock itself. 

    1. Press the Menu button on the Keypad and enter your Master PIN

    2. Select Devices

    3. Choose your Smart Lock, and then select PIN Pad

    4. When your Smart Lock is in pairing mode, hold down the lock button on the PIN Pad for 5 seconds

    5. The Base Station will announce "PIN Pad added" once it has been added

    6. Lastly, test your Smart Lock by trying to lock and unlock it using the PIN Pad

      1. To lock the Smart Lock, press the lock button on the PIN Pad

      2. To unlock the Smart Lock, enter either your Master PIN or Custom PIN on the PIN Pad

    1. Remove the Smart Lock's battery cover

      1. If you have a Smart Lock, slide the cover down

      2. If you have a Smart Lock Series 2, slide the cover to the right

    2. Press the pairing button located above the Smart Lock's batteries to put the Smart Lock into pairing mode

    3. Once the Smart Lock is in pairing mode, hold down the lock button on the PIN Pad for 5 seconds

    4. The Base Station will announce "PIN Pad added" once it has been added

    5. Test your Smart Lock by trying to lock and unlock it using the PIN Pad

      1. To lock the Smart Lock, press the lock button on the PIN Pad

      2. To unlock the Smart Lock, enter either your Master PIN or Custom PIN on the PIN Pad

    6. After confirming that the Smart Lock and PIN Pad have been paired, slide the battery cover back on the Smart Lock

  • Can Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant be used with my Smart Lock?

    Yes, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant can be used to arm your system which will automatically lock your door when Smart Lock is installed. However, commands to unlock your Smart Lock will not work - for security reasons. Unlocking your door must be done through the SimpliSafe® Mobile App, the PIN Pad, Keypad, or manually using your key on the deadbolt.
